following is a list of suggestions to help you avoid getting bogged down
in technology.
Have specific and meaningful objectives
Remember, the main focus is language acquisition
Vary computer activities
Demonstrate all software
Provide additional resources for independent learners
Give students adequate time for practice
Teach technical information on a need-to-know basis
Choose appropriate level of challenge, or allow students to self-select
Don't let technology become a barrier to learning.
If the program crashes, try to salvage the language learning, i.e.,
use of WH questions, What is wrong with the computer, Who knows how to
fix the font, Where is the lab assistant, When can we get back online,
Why isn't this working?
